Guzzler Increases Capacity Of Hydro Excavation On Guzzler CL Industrial Vacuum Loader

Leading hydro excavation technology now available on vacuum loader

STREATOR, Ill. (Aug. 15, 2010) – Guzzler Manufacturing, the world's leader in industrial vacuum loaders, recently introduced the Guzzler CL industrial vacuum loader with a Vactor HXX hydro excavation option to handle a variety of applications, including standard wet/dry industrial cleaning, potholing, excavation and oil and gas field support.

"Our contractor customers are constantly challenged to get jobs done faster and do more with less," said Tony Fuller, director of industrial sales for Guzzler Manufacturing. "With the HXX hydro excavation option on the Guzzler CL industrial vacuum loader, our customers get a powerful and efficient industrial vacuum system that cleans and recovers solids and dry bulk powders, liquids, slurries and thick sludge, combined with an easy-to-operate vacuum excavator that can also take on tough excavating jobs. The improved utilization and expanded versatility and productivity all add up to an improved bottom line for their operation."

Vacuum excavation provides minimal ground disturbance and virtually eliminates the risk of damage to existing underground utility lines for such applications as slot trenching, potholing, water valve box repair and locating of existing fiber optic lines, cables and other utilities.

The Guzzler CL with the HXX hydro excavation option blasts away soil with jets up to 20 gallons of water per minute, at rates up to 2,500 psi, depending on the pump selection, pressure adjustment and nozzle tip configuration. The 600-gallon dual water tank allows for 3.5 hours of continuous operation between refills. An external water level tube allows the operator to easily check the water level in the tanks.

The hydraulically operated CAT triplex pump on the truck allows the operator to adjust water pressure with the push of a button. The plunger pump is centrifugally charged to eliminate cavitation. A ground-level cam-lock water fill connection provides easy access for the operator.

The truck is equipped with a ½- inch x 50-foot hose reel rated at 3,000 psi and an 8-inch vacuum tube package.

For operation in sub-zero conditions and harsh winter weather, optional cold weather add-ons are available individually or as a complete package. These options include a 400,000/900,000 BTU/hr water heater (for cutting through frozen ground or heavy clay), heated cabinets for the water pump and boiler, heated and insulated external suction lines, an air purge system using the chassis air system, and a power take-off-driven cold weather recirculation system.
