Guzzler Unveils New Air Mover

STREATOR, Ill. — It was five years in the making, but it took only days for the new Guzzler NX to change the world of air movers. Guzzler's latest edition to its fleet of vehicles tackles the tougher applications such as lighter materials, as well as emphasizing lower noise outputs. It was unveiled to the public in February.

The public should not be completely surprised by what they see when they look at the NX for the first time. After all, their suggestions and comments went a long way toward helping Guzzler engineers design the finished product.

"The history of Guzzler is to make customer-driven innovations," said Product Manager Tab Siegrist. "From the start of the concept to the very end we solicited user input. We even brought in 20 contractors last November to our plant in Streator, Ill., for a ‘first look' and heard what they had to say before the product hit the road."

Those innovations are apparent throughout the NX. The filtration and material return system is so unique that Guzzler has applied for multiple patents on the design. "Our automatic return system is unlike any that has been seen previously," Siegrist said.

The very first Guzzler NX vehicle off the line was delivered to Performance Contracting, Inc., in Rockwood, Tenn.

Guzzler Manufacturing, Inc., based in Streator, Ill., is the world's leading manufacturer of industrial vacuum loaders. Guzzler, built by contractors for contractors, is part of the Federal Signal line of industrial cleaners, including Elgin Sweeper, Vactor and Jetstream.
